David Valadao has filed to run against TJ Cox in 2020.

As you may recall, TJ Cox defeated David Valadao in one of the closest races in the entire country last fall — winning by just 862 votes. This district was long considered a Republican stronghold, and we were big underdogs. But Central Valley voters rejected the Trump-Valadao agenda to strip health care from millions and hand tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.

Now, Valadao is back to try and help Republicans retake the House and follow through on that harmful agenda. What’s worse? The special interests and Republican DC insiders are already lining up to help him.

This news all but assures our race will again be one of the most competitive in the country. We’ll need to kick things off on strong footing if we’re going to keep this seat blue:
