“A Progressive California,” SuperPAC Launches By Releasing Digital Video Ad Supporting Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León for United States Senate in 2018 Contest
LOS ANGELES, CA — Today, “A Progressive California,” a SuperPAC aimed at backing progressive candidates for office, announced its launch by releasing a digital video ad in support of California State Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León’s campaign for United States Senate.

“We Need Kevin,” the digital video ad, begins with footage of Donald Trump’s America, from the Charlottesville torch-infused rally to the commander-in-chief apathetically tossing out paper towels to the people of Puerto Rico, to the President’s efforts of pulling out of the Paris Climate change. Thereafter, it notes that Washington’s status quo has failed to sufficiently fight back against Trump. It then transitions into footage featuring Senate President pro Tempore Kevin de León, highlighting his efforts to champion California’s resistance against the White House’s backwards agenda, while advancing progressive causes.
