NEW LABOR SUPPORT BOLSTERS LARA’S INSURANCE COMMISSIONER BID
California State Council of Pipe Trades Endorses Senator Ricardo Lara’s Statewide Campaign
LONG BEACH, CA — Further broadening his coalition of support across the Golden State as he seeks the office of California State Insurance Commissioner, today State Senator Ricardo Lara collected a highly coveted endorsement from the California State Council of Pipe Trades.

As part of the United Association (UA) which represents the plumbing and pipe fitting industry with over 300,000 members across the United States and Canada, the California State Pipe Trades Council represents thousands of plumbers and pipe fitters in local unions across the state.

In announcing their endorsement of Senator Lara’s California State Insurance Commissioner bid, the California State Council of Pipe Trades, released the following statement:

“As a state lawmaker, Senator Ricardo Lara hasn’t just been a good vote for working people. He’s been a champion, a leader and a movement builder for labor, economic and social justice, for the creation of family sustaining good paying jobs, and investments in infrastructure that helps our economy grow. He’s stood shoulder-to-shoulder with our members and we know he’ll continue to do so as California’s next Insurance Commissioner. We are thrilled to endorse his campaign.”

Today’s announcement follows the release the Senator’s new digital video ad, titled, “Embolden,” which takes aim at Donald Trump’s backwards agenda and the President’s comments saying that “California is out of control,” by illustrating the sharp contrast between the Oval Office’s agenda and that of Lara’s.
