Just a few moments ago, Mitch McConnell announced on the Senate floor that President Trump will sign an emergency declaration in order to secure funding for his useless and costly border wall.
This comes after both Congress and the American people have repeatedly made clear that they do not support building this wall.
I want to be clear with you — this is ridiculous and I am going to do everything in my power to stop Trump from building this wall. It’s a waste of your money and it won’t make our country safer.
But I cannot do it alone. I need you with me in this fight:
We should be doing something about the actual emergencies plaguing our nation, like the gun violence epidemic or health care access, not playing politics in order to build a ridiculously wasteful border wall.
I am ready to fight with everything I have. I hope you’re with me.
