The Republicans must be reminded there are consequences for their actions
The government shutdown is over (for now) and we finally have an opportunity to get back to work on the issues that matter for our country. This is good news, but I’ve got to say: I’m mad as hell. This shutdown should never have happened, and the blame for this is squarely at the feet of the President and his enablers in Congress. We can’t let this happen again. The Republicans must be reminded there are consequences for their actions, and I need your help to show them there’s a price to be paid:
This shutdown put 800,000 people out of work. It put our food safety at risk. It made airports less safe. The worst part is Trump can force a shutdown all over again in three weeks if he wanted to. That’s why it’s so important we keep the pressure up: Thanks for everything, TJ Cox |
