Yesterday we found out that I’ll be on stage for night one of the first Democratic debate.
It’s a moment I’ll never forget — to imagine myself on stage, speaking to millions of voters all across the country about the importance of beating Trump and leading our nation to higher ground. When I heard the news, I felt grateful, because I know that I wouldn’t be here without people like you.
It’s no secret that this is a crowded race with a lot of talented, qualified candidates. That’s a good thing for our party, and for our country. But it means that I’ll be vying for time among nine other people that night.
I’ll do my best to make the most of that time, and that starts with making sure I know what matters most to people like you.
Trust me, every minute I’m up there, I’ll be thinking of the people like you who believed enough in this campaign to help me get on that stage. It means so much to me, and I promise I won’t let you down.
