I am thrilled to announce that i just received the endorsement of the California Nurses Association. This endorsement is important to me, because of the important work that I did with CNA to pass SB 1299, the Healthcare Workplace Violence Prevention Act. CNA has been leading the charge in Workplace safety and the fight toward universal healthcare.
Here’s what CNA Co-President, Malinda Markowitz said about the endorsement:
California Nurses Association is proud to endorse Alex Padilla for Secretary of State. Alex is a proven progressive champion for voting rights, labor rights, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, campaign finance transparency, and guaranteed healthcare for all.
As a State Senator, he authored landmark legislation mandating comprehensive work place safety for nurses. As Secretary of State, he has taken on Donald Trump by resisting his voter suppression agenda. Alex is elevating the voices of working families by expanding voter registration opportunities giving voters more options of when, where, and how they cast a ballot.
I’m honored and thankful for the California Nurses Association’s recognition of the work I’m doing. And I’m proud to add them to the growing list of endorsements from Labor Unions including:
