HERNANDEZ RACKS UP ANOTHER STATEWIDE ENDORSEMENT IN LT. GOVERNOR CAMPAIGN
California’s Attorneys, Administrative Law Judges, and Hearing Officers in State Join Far-Reaching Coalition Backing Senator Hernandez for Lt. Governor
WEST COVINA, CA — Continuing to draw widespread support as he seeks the office of California Lieutenant Governor, today State Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez collected a statewide endorsement from CASE, an organization made up of California’s Attorneys, Administrative Law Judges, and Hearing Officers in State Employment (CASE).

According to its website, “CASE is the exclusive representative of more than 3,400 attorneys, administrative law judges and other legal professionals employed by the State of California.” In a letter sent to the Hernandez’ Lieutenant Governor campaign, CASE Board of Directors President, Peter Flores, Jr., wrote:

“The CASE Board of Directors is pleased to announce that it has unanimously endorsed Dr. Ed Hernandez, O.D., in his race to become California’s next Lieutenant Governor… During his tenure in the legislature, Senator Hernandez has repeatedly shown that he understands the vital nature of the work of CASE’s legal professionals in defending the State’s treasury, prosecuting violent felons, protecting the environment, and ensuring the State’s compliance with complex federal mandates to ensure that California qualifies for its fair share of tax dollars from the federal government.”

Flores added, “As both a Member of the Assembly and now as a Senator, Dr. Hernandez has demonstrated he has the skills, knowledge, and temperament to serve as Lieutenant Governor. His comprehensive understanding of all aspects of state government combined with his experience running a medical practice make him uniquely qualified to understand how California government impacts real working professionals. CASE strongly supports Dr. Ed Hernandez, O.D. for Lieutenant Governor of California.”

Significantly, recently, Senator Hernandez released a new online video, titled “A California Story,” which can be viewed by clicking on the screen image below:

A husband, father, grandfather, practicing optometrist, and local businessman, “Dr. Ed” (as he is known to his patients) has spent his life bringing quality eye care to predominantly low-income communities. As a health care provider, the need to improve access to health care for all Californians is what first drove him to run for office.
Since being elected to the Assembly in 2006 and the Senate in 2010, Dr. Ed Hernandez has been a leader on the implementation of federal health care reform – helping expand access to affordable health care, control costs, and improve the network of providers so people can actually get quality care when they need it. Dr. Ed has been a champion by expanding educational opportunity to qualified students overlooked by our public schools and universities, as well as a major proponent for government reform, including fixing a broken initiative system too often hijacked by billionaires and wealthy corporations. Dr. Ed Hernandez is running to take this experience, leadership, and vision to the next level by serving the people of California as their Lieutenant Governor.
