Leadership through Experience and Commitment
FRESNO—Hillary Clinton was a solid option in 2008 when she ran against Barack Obama, and since then she has added an impressive tenure as Secretary of State to her resume. She brought both Russia and Iran to the negotiating table and got them to limit and give up their nuclear weapons programs, respectively. She helped personally oversee the military’s hunt to track down Osama bin Laden, and she oversaw major achievements in international agreements to forestall further global warming.
Americans are infuriated with a Republican-led Congress that has shut down the government and abandoned its power to Obama with numerous show-votes on Obamacare and endless Benghazi investigations after the first cleared everyone. That is why we need a seasoned politician in the White House. The country needs someone who understands the process of compromise, negotiation and deal making that is at the core of a democratic republic.
“Our nation needs a leader who is competent, experienced and capable of leading our diverse society,” says Michael D. Evans, chair of the Fresno County Democratic Party. “We need a leader who is tried and tested, and who can deliver positive results even under the most trying circumstances. In this election, that choice is obvious—Hillary Clinton.”
Clinton can work with people she disagrees with. Her former rival, Obama, came to rely on her, and primary challenger Bernie Sanders now campaigns on her behalf. Donald Trump, conversely, has declared war on his own Republican Party and gets frothing mad over Twitter. We need someone who knows Congressional budgets and international treaties, not a casino owner with multiple bankruptcies and massive foreign debt hidden in unreleased tax returns.
Clinton has the personal strength to weather any crisis that might befall our country. Having experienced lengthy investigations with angry questions from stridently partisan opponents, she nevertheless continues to smile and do the hard, boring work of budgets and policy making. Without question, she can be trusted to handle the pressures of the Oval Office.
Clinton has been working to improve the lot of children and families since graduating from college. Her economic plan will give us investment in jobs, her healthcare plan will save us from being at the mercy of rate-hiking companies and her legal protections for the most vulnerable among us will help everyone.
Clinton has built her life around bringing the people of America and indeed the world together. The country will certainly be “stronger together” under a Clinton presidency.
The Fresno County Democratic Party is united behind Hillary Clinton for President. The official Coordinated Campaign headquarters is at 1035 U Street in downtown Fresno. To volunteer or for more information, contact 559-495-0606 or email@example.com.
