Add your name: tell Senate Republicans we need to protect affordable health care.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about a speech President Obama gave last month about courage. He said that we can’t just expect the prominent and the powerful to have all of the courage to do what is right, but that each and every one of us has to have the courage within ourselves.

And he’s right — to do what is right, it’s going to take all of us digging deep and finding the courage to fight back.

We are at a defining moment in the history of this country. Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are planning to vote on a bill that we now know will take health care away from 22 million people and make it harder for millions more to get the care they need if it becomes law. I expect they’ll put partisanship over patriotism and vote to undo the promise of affordable health care.

But even though we’re outnumbered, I know that we have the courage to stand up for what we believe in. And if we come together to fight back, we can kill this dangerous health care repeal once and for all.

Will you stand with Democrats today and fight to save affordable health care for all?

I know it may seem like a lot — but 22 million people are counting on us to have the courage to fight back and stop this bill.

Thanks for all you do,

Tom
